Announcement about Trademark Infringement

As notified by Nikkei (Canada) Marketing Limited, who is a member of the Japan Reishi Association (JRA), two companies in the Canadian market have infringed upon a JRA member's registered trademark seal design logo for their packaging, advertising and marketing materials. The logos of YUBAO and YUYONG are inarguably similar to the registered trademark of Mikei Red Reishi mushroom extract herbal supplements. Neither YUBAO or YUYONG are members of the JRA. Consequently, it has caused confusion in the market for both retailers and end consumers.

The Mikei Red Reishi brand logo has been registered in over 20 countries in the world. In order to protect Mikei's exclusive right of use of their registered logo and also prevent further confusion for customers, Nikkei (Canada) Marketing Limited entered litigations with YUBAO and YUYONG regarding the trademark infringement issues and have reached a settlement agreement. The two companies at fault have agreed to halt all use of their current logos effective immediately, and issued a public apology to Mikei Red Reishi in the local Chinese daily newspaper.
